Saludos Amigos (1942)

It’s essentially a travelogue starring several Disney characters. There are live action segments where the Disney artists and writers visit a couple South American countries looking for ideas, intermixed with sections featuring Donald and Goofy having adventures with the locals. A cartoon segment featuring a young mail plane named Pedro seems to last forever, but the sequence where Donald tries to cross a suspension bridge on a llama has hysterical moments. If nothing else, this movie is an interesting time capsule in the way life in places like Bolivia and ChilĂ© was filtered to appeal to 1940s white suburbia.
